We get a lot of pitches. Most don't get accepted. Here's what it takes to stay out of our trash folder.

What we publish

We cover SEO, AI search and answer engine optimisation, content marketing, PPC, web design, social media and Web3 marketing, written for readers who already understand the basics and want genuine depth. A pitch needs to fit one of these areas specifically, not digital marketing in the abstract.

We don't accept pitches on finance, real estate, gaming, CBD, casino content, or cryptocurrency unrelated to Web3 marketing, regardless of how well-written they are.

Follow these blog guidelines

Submit your post via Google Docs only.

Aim for 1,500 to 2,000 words, in-depth but concise. Anything under 1,500 words will be rejected; we don't publish short, BuzzFeed-style content.

  • We write in British English only. American, Canadian or Australian English will be automatically rejected. If you can't write in British English yourself, we can format it for you for an additional fee.

  • We use "analyse," "optimise," "programme," "whilst," "jumper," "trousers" and "full stop," not "analyze," "optimize," "program," "while," "sweater," "pants" or "period." We don't use the Oxford comma.

  • We don't accept AI-produced content. If our detection tools suspect a piece is over 80% AI-generated, we'll reject it outright.

  • Your post must be original, well-written and free of grammatical errors. Plagiarism results in automatic rejection, and it's illegal, so don't try it.

What we're looking for

The article should be helpful and informative. A sense of humour is welcome, as long as it stays respectful; hate speech or language marginalising any demographic will be automatically rejected.

Self-promotional content isn't accepted, but you may include one link to your website in your author bio. Author bio links are nofollow by default. We grant dofollow at our editorial discretion for posts that clear our full bar on quality, originality and relevance; it isn't guaranteed, and we won't discuss or negotiate link terms as part of a pitch.

You may reference your own company as an example once within the article, only if it genuinely adds value for the reader. A second use will result in outright rejection.

You must include at least one internal link to a relevant post on our blog.

No affiliate links; we won't publish a post that contains one. No external links to alcohol, tobacco, firearms, pornography, cryptocurrency, payday loans or other "shady" business practices; we'll remove any link we don't like without exception.

No obvious location-anchored text, for example, hyperlinking the phrase "UK digital marketing agency" or "Arizona real estate lawyers." We will reject posts with this pattern.

Sourcing and evidence

Use recent, sourced examples to back up every point you make. Cite or reference any quotes, data, images or third-party content; don't use Wikipedia as a source, and don't plagiarise- we won't tolerate it.

Illustrate examples with screenshots, videos or social media posts rather than stock images.

Style and structure

No pop culture tie-ins, no "what can [celebrity] teach you about [marketing tactic]" framing, and no clickbait; your headline needs to deliver exactly what it promises.

Listicles are fine if they're genuinely actionable and in-depth, showing readers how to do each thing rather than just naming it. We don't want "300 ways to create a Facebook ad."

Capitalise only the first word of your title and each subheading. Titles are H1, subheadings H2 and below. Bold any genuinely noteworthy points. Punctuation goes inside quotation marks. Use a single space between sentences. Capitalise the first word of each bullet point. Use subheadings, lists, images and short paragraphs to keep the post readable. Wrap up with a conclusion that recaps the piece, titled however it fits.

Your post must be original to us and not published elsewhere, before or after. Republishing it on your own site after we publish it will get the post taken down.

What to send

Pitch your unwritten idea via our contact page form, including all of the following rather than a generic outreach template.

  • A specific working title and a two- or three-sentence outline of the argument you want to make

  • Links to two or three pieces of your previous writing, ideally on a related topic

  • A short note on your relevant expertise or experience with the subject

  • A photo, and your personal X and LinkedIn profiles (personal, not company pages). We're happy to link to your company homepage but not a branded profile

The process

Our content team assesses the pitch and decides whether to accept it. We only respond to pitches that clearly fit our coverage areas and editorial standards above. If you don't hear back within two weeks, assume it wasn't the right fit this time.

Once we receive payment for the review, write your post to the standards above.

Send the finished post for internal review and final edit. If it meets our guidelines, we'll schedule it for publishing. If it doesn't, you'll get one revision to fix it; after that, it's rejected with no refund.

Approved posts are published within seven days of editorial sign-off, then shared across our network. You're free to share it on your channels too.

We’re looking forward to your pitch!
